STS announces that it has developed the software to provide chip and PIN functionality for the new ITWell Mobile Point of Sale terminal, the XPDA-V. Through this work, the ITWell XPDA-V POS will be available for use as an EMV Level 2 enabled mobile point of sale.
ITWell's focus has been on providing wireless solutions for retailers with large success in the Korean market. ITWell deliver a large amount of experience in the mobile POS industry helping connect customers and retailers and transacting payments securely.
ITWEll have interest from retailers and airline companies with a view to providing mobile, integrated till system based on the XPDA-V. Airline personnel will be able to process credit and debit card payments for refreshments and duty free goods and provide printed receipts, for passengers at their seats.
William Yang, Overseas Business Manager for ITWell, said "We have had great success with our mobile EPOS devices in the airline industry and ITWell expects the new device to be even more successful. The addition of EMV payments with built-in printing, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPRS will see significant success for the XPDA-V. This unit will be used in many environments and we see it as both a replacement and complimentary technology."
